The Gleaning takes its name from the old practice of moving through a field after the harvest — gathering what remains, what was missed, what still has something to offer. That's what we do here.

Each month we read something together — a book, an essay, a collection of poems — and meet to pull out what's useful. What resonates. What asks something of us. The writing is the starting point, not the destination. We're not here to analyze it. We're here to let it open something.

Sessions are part guided reflection, part open conversation. Some months lean more toward journaling, others toward discussion. Either way, reflection prompts are shared after each circle so you can continue the work in your own time.
