About This Workshop
Every culture on earth built traditions around bringing people together. Hearthside gatherings, communal meals, village squares, ceremonies that lasted hours — not because people had more time, but because they understood that gathering was how communities held together. It was survival. It was sacred. And it was ordinary.
Most of us feel the pull to gather people but struggle with the doing. This workshop explores why gathering matters drawing from hospitality traditions and practices from around the world. Then we get practical about how to do it in your real life, with your real resources.
What You'll Experience
A 90-minute live workshop that moves between the why and the how of gathering. We'll look at what cultures across the globe understood about welcome and connection, then walk through the full arc of a gathering — preparation, welcoming, the gathering itself, and sending people home — with practical tools you can use immediately.
What You'll Walk Away With
A deeper understanding of gathering as a practice rooted in something ancient and essential. Practical frameworks for hosting at whatever scale fits your life. A shifted relationship with the pressure around "doing it right."
About Erin
Erin Harker is a High Witch, medium, and spiritual educator with over 30 years of practice and two decades of brand strategy and marketing leadership. Her work on sacred hospitality draws from cross-cultural folklore, historical traditions of welcome, and the ways humans have always used food, fire, and threshold to hold communities together. A curator of sacred spaces both online and in person, she's the founder of Magick Makers and host of Kindred Club, a membership community for witches and spiritualists deepening their craft alongside kindred spirits. She's currently writing a book on sacred hospitality.
