Between Christmas and New Year's, the world holds its breath. The calendar year ends, but something older stirs—the earth's own rhythm of rest and renewal, the ancient knowing that darkness is not the enemy but the womb of transformation.
This is winter's invitation: to turn inward, to meet the parts of ourselves we've kept in shadow, and to honor them as sacred.
This session is designed to last approximately 75-90 minutes, as some portions of the journey are intuitively led and we honor what wants to emerge in the moment.
What Makes This Different
Most shadow work approaches treat the shadow as a problem to solve or a darkness to overcome. Indigenous wisdom traditions—from the Irish concept of necessary darkness to Diné understandings of balance—teach us something profoundly different. The shadow is not broken. It is holy. It holds wisdom, ancestral patterns, and parts of ourselves that were exiled for survival but now call to come home.
This guided journey moves in alignment with the season and the land itself. Just as winter's darkness prepares the earth for spring's emergence, your shadow holds medicine for your becoming.

Recognize ancestral patterns asking for integration
Accept parts of yourself that have been waiting to be seen
Integration (20 min)
Gentle journaling prompts to help you anchor what arose, process what you've met, and begin weaving it into your wholeness
Closing
A soft transition back to hold what's been opened
What You'll Need
Quiet, private space where you won't be disturbed
Journal and pen for integration work
Optional: blanket, candle, or anything that helps you feel held and safe

You're drawn to honoring darkness as sacred rather than something to overcome
You want to work with your shadow in a way that feels restorative, not extractive
