Home Blessing and Cleansing Rituals

Our homes are sacred spaces full of energy and magickal spirits. Try one of my enchanted blends of herbs and salt to bless your home and call in the divine. It serves a two-fold purpose: clearing out old, negative energies and bringing in blessings and happiness for the future. 

Below are suggestions for which days of the week support different intentions you may have for spiritually cleansing your home. As always, allow your intuition to guide you. 

Days of the week for intentional cleansing

Sunday - Healing, Success, Strength, Protection

Monday - Peace, Healing, Compassion, Purification

Thursday - Prosperity, Wealth, Generosity, Abundance

Friday - Love, Friendship, Beauty

Saturday - Banishing, Protection, Home Blessing

To use as a floor sweep: sprinkle about a tablespoon of the blend on the floor. Use your broom to push the herbs around the entire space making sure you get into all the corners. 

To use as a floor wash: prepare the floor sweep like a tea. Place a tablespoon of the blend into a cup, and pour about a cup of boiling water over it. Steep for about 15 minutes, and add the mixture to your wash bucket and stir it all together. Use the wash to clean the floors, windows, and even thresholds of the home.

While you sprinkle, mix, and clean, I recommend reciting some words over your activities. Words are some of our most potent forms of magick. 

As soon as you finish cleaning, dispose of the contents of the dustpan or dirty water outside to complete the spell. This ensures that any negative energy you’ve collected is gone from your home.
